1. My demo looks "blurry". Why is this happening?
Myst IV Revelation has an amazing "depth of field" technology. Things close to you are clear, while things farther away are less clear, just as in real life. This effect can be turned off in Options. |
2. Why is the demo so short? Did I miss something?
Team Revelation wants to give you a taste of what to expect in Revelation without spoiling you. The demo was chosen to do just that. We also didnt want to have a puzzle that needed information from previous parts of the game, making it impossible to solve. Hopefully you can wait the few weeks to see the rest! |
3. I heard that a longer demo is coming out - when can we expect that?
The demo used at E3 in Los Angeles in May was planned for release this month but, the demo currently used has a lot of minor fixes in it. To release the longer demo now would be looking at a less polished version of Revelation. |
4. My game keeps freezing or "hanging". What should I do?
Make sure that while you are in Revelation, you have your other applications turned off. While Revelation does not require very high specs, it does take a lot of your memory and therefore you should be letting is use as much as it needs to make your experience as enjoyable as possible. |
5. Towards then end of the demo, after I go down the in the fireplace, I can hear some music, but my screen is black. What should I do?
If you hit the Alt+Tab keys to exit the game window and hit Alt+Tab to return to the game, you should be able to resolve the problem of the black screen. |
6. When I played the demo, I was a little disappointed by the graphics quality, compared to the screenshots I had seen so far. Will the game be of similar quality?
The screenshots have been created with much higher resolutions than the demo for artistic purposes. The demo had to fit to 200Mb, therefore it had to be compressed and could only be in low resolution. The full game will allow you to have the high resolution graphics. |
